據中國航天科技集團消息，國產首顆全電推通信衛星——亞太6E衛星7月15日在中國香港圓滿通過了衛星在軌技術驗收評審和地面系統最終技術驗收評審，標志其完成在軌測試，正式投入運營。

China's first all-electric propulsion telecommunication satellite, the APSTAR-6E, officially commenced operational services on July 15 following in-orbit and ground system technical review in Hong Kong, according to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), the satellite's developer.

亞太6E衛星由中國航天科技集團五院采用東方紅三號E衛星平臺研制，是東方紅三號E衛星平臺的首發星。衛星配置25個Ku用戶波束和3個Ka信關站波束，通信容量約30Gbps，在軌壽命15年。

亞太6E衛星成功投入運營，對實現衛星平臺高承載、低成本，提升我國通信衛星平臺國際競爭力，以及實現衛星全自主軌道提升和長期在軌自主工作，提升我國衛星平臺智能自主水平，均有重要意義。
